Knott's Berry Farm

Known as America's first theme park, Knott's Berry Farm has over 165 rides, attractions and shows. Whether you are a kid at heart or have a child of your own, Knott's Berry Farm is a theme park that should not be missed by anyone while in the Southern California area. 

 

 

Huntington Beach Pier

Stretching more than 1,800 feet into the ocean, it is the perfect vantage point for viewing the gorgeous coastline and watching the awesome  talent of local surfers. Pier fishing  in California waters can be fun with a bait shop and fish cleaning stations conveniently located on the pier. The pier also has various stores and restaurants.

 

 

Orange County Fair and Event Center

The Orange County Fair and Event Center hosts year-round events from festivals to swap meets. The annual Orange County Fair is held here and features musical events, games, food, crafts, carnival rides, livestock competitions and a rodeo. There are swap meets every Saturday and Sunday and a farmers market every Thursday. There are also frequent animal shows (like the America's Family Pet Expo ) and garden exhibits, as well as the 5-yearly Sugar Plum Arts & Crafts Festival .

 

Newport Landing Whale Watching

Southern California Whale Watching at its finest. Newport Landing provides multiple whale watching trips daily departing from Newport Beach. Mastro's Steakhouse

Bluewater Grill

Enjoy the view of the bay from any dining area. Located on old sports fishing dock, just the photos are something to see. Enjoy seafood from around the world including Mississippi and Australia.  Enjoy blue-nosed bass and for those that remember when abalone were found in the area; be sure to try that calamari steak. The menu is fresh from the market and changes daily.

 

Onotria

Take a trip in a beautiful Italian piazza. Owner and chef Massimo Navaretta makes the freshest dishes in the area. Enjoy the view of his miniature vineyard and vegetable garden from the dining room. Try something different like blood oranges drizzled with passion fruit syrup, grilled cuttlefish with caper berries, and fresh pumpkin gnocchi with venison ragout. Reservations are recommended but not required.

 

Rainforest Café

A family delight, the Rainforest Café is almost a theme park of its own. Enjoy dining in a tropical rainforest. The waterfalls, and native animals are a crowd pleaser. The menu has something for everyone. Try one of their signature dishes like Mojo Bones, Parmesan Chicken, or Tribal Salmon. No dinner or lunch would be complete without the Sparkling Volcano Desert. Resort at Pelican Hill

The resort features 2 courses. Oceanview North is an 18-hole, par 71 course. Oceanview South is an 18-hole, par 70 course. The 13th hole of Oceanview south is unique and features 2 greens.  Theses courses feature a full service pro shop professional caddies, locker rooms, and lessons. Packages are available if just visiting in the area.

 

Strawberry Farms Golf Course

Strawberry Farms Golf Course is one of the premier courses in Orange County. This 18-hole, par 71 course features stunning views of the areas rolling hills and is marked with natural waterfalls.
