LAX is the largest and most popular airport in Los Angeles.  All major airlines use this airport so you can feel secure in knowing your flight will land in the best airport in town. It takes a Limo to LAX  from Palos Verdes takes approximately 1 hour without traffic.

 

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

This airport is, although smaller than LAX, the closest to Long Beach. This airport has been seen in movies given its Art Deco history dating back to early aviation pioneers.  It currently hosts Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways and US Airways and is used by many Los Angeles natives who want to steer clear of the bustle of LAX. It takes a Limo from Palos Verdes to LGB takes approximately 45 minutes without traffic.

 

John Wayne Airport (SNA)

Glass Church/Wayfarers Chapel

Built in 1951, "The Glass Church" is a member of the National Historical Society. It has become a popular destination for tourists and a premier wedding destination. The church was designed by well known architect Lloyd Wright. The of the churches founding members was to give wayfarers a destination to stop and visit and allow them to explore the harmony between the external world and the inner world of body and spirit. The redwood trees have formed a living wall and roof enveloping the chapel in some of the most spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

 

Abalone Cove Shoreline Park and Ecological Reserve

The park features two beaches; Abalone Cove and Scared Cove.  The park includes an ecological preserve with  breathtaking views. Access to Abalone Cove is available along a trail from the main parking lot. Access to Sacred Cove is only available by walking along  Palos Verdes Drive. Families are welcome and lifeguards are available during summer hours 9:00-4:00PM and on weekends only. If you are traveling with your pet please keep in mind that dogs, fires and portable barbecues are not permitted in the area.

 

Point Vicente Interpretive Center

This beautiful park opened in 1984. It is situated across from Point Vicente Lighthouse. The park was designed  to promote educational programs for the California ecosystem. This is a premier site for whale watching. The annual Pacific Gray Whale migration takes place every year from December through April. The museum is open daily from 10AM-5PM , the park grounds are open daily until dusk. The park is closed on all major holidays.

 

Malaga Cove Plaza

This historical icon was built in the 1920's and is situated at the entrance to the city. Enjoy spectacular views of beautiful Spanish Renaissance architecture. The center of the plaza features a replica of the King Neptune fountain located in Bologna, Italy. This beautiful focal piece was presented to the city as a gift. Enjoy a day of lunch and shopping while you wander through the Mediterranean archways and alcoves.

One of the areas top rated restaurants. The Fusion cuisine found here is some of the most popular  blending of French and Mediterranean techniques. The menu focuses on the flavors found in the Pacific Rim. The menu is based on seasonal availability and always fresh. Reservations are recommended.

 

Asaka
